Every Big Bang is special... But this one was incredible!
Anyone who has come to the Big Bang a few times, knows that each year is different from the last. There are things that never change, like going to the Mega Dome to enjoy spectacular shows, cocktails on the beach and reunions with
old friends.
But we musicians, those of us who jump onto a different stage every day, can't help but feel the nerves tickling the back of our necks, before getting on the most special stage of all. Whether we come to play just for fun, or if we come to try to win, that tingle is always there.
For
Talwin and me, this year was also special, because for the first time, this year we both played solo in this competition.
I'm not going to deny that my knees were shaking when I found myself alone on that big stage, but then, as I greeted the audience with my hat, I realized that I wasn't alone, there was my
beloved, in the front row, smiling at me, holding a teddy bear in his hands. Suddenly all the nerves disappeared, the music started flowing and I just had to enjoy.
And with almost no time to recover from the adrenaline rush, Talwin's show began. What can I say? in a band or alone, he never disappoints. He doesn't need anyone to fill the stage, because he fills it with his light. And if that wasn't enough...WOW. Massive fireworks just lit up the whole sky in Rio de Janeiro. Talwin Brown and Mother Earth sure know how to put on a spectacular show!
Congratulations my love! You are pure magic!!
And today is the day of love! I can't think of a better reason to celebrate. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone and especially to the
one true love of my life.
