Time to change the beat
It came as a shock and she didn't know how to handle it. Her heart swelled with rage. She screamed a whiskey-curdling scream that felt as if it had erupted from the depths of hell but had somehow come from somewhere inside her. Zo, all five foot five inches, blonde dumb Zo. She screamed again until her throat felt raw and she gripped the guitar before throwing it across the room. It hit the wall, smashing into a framed poster of a cat hanging by its paws on the wall, behind it read: Hang in there, kitty. The picture fell to the floor with a loud crash but she didn't notice it. All she noticed was a bottle flying, glass smashing, a phone being tossed across the room as her anger spilled out of her like a volcano erupting. A year of hard work, endless jam sessions in the old abandoned practice space - all down the drain. Was this the end of her rope? Fuck everything and disappear? Drummer boy suggested something similar once but back then she wanted to smash his cymbals on his head.
She staggered through the room, hand gripping the desk as she stumbled over the broken glass on the floor. From somewhere in her subconscious she was aware that she was bleeding. Her hands and feet felt hot and sticky with it but she needed to tone it down by several fucks to care. She stared at herself in the mirror with an empty bitch face. After tilting her neck back to eye-roll the ceiling, she slung a bottle of whiskey under her arm and stumbled back to bed.
She felt empty. Devoid of everything - soul, body, energy.
