[Private] you’re not a girl.

Being a dad to a little girl wasn’t exactly easy, and honestly, it seemed to get trickier every day. But he loved it and wouldn’t trade his time with his daughter for anything. That day, he was just at home working when Moon came in, all excited, saying she wanted to try a new hairstyle.

Dean put his laptop aside to give her his full attention, and she showed him a picture of the style she wanted.

"Can you do this hairstyle on me, daddy?" she asked. Dean scratched his head, knowing he was stepping into dangerous territory. He definitely wasn’t skilled at this kind of thing; even with long hair, he barely knew how to use a hair clip or tie a ribbon without disaster. But with that questionable dad confidence, he said, "Sure, I’ll do it."

Moon got excited, already having brushes, colorful hair ties, cream, and everything ready, and Dean began his stint as his daughter’s personal hairdresser. He might not have been naturally talented, but he was surprisingly gentle handling the little girl’s long hair.

Ten minutes later, he was done. That was fast — even for a girl doing her own hair — and Dean looked pretty proud. “All done! Check it out!” he said. Moon ran to the mirror…

"Daddyyyy, this doesn’t look anything like the picture!!!" she yelled, pointing at her hair and then at the photo. "It looks… weird…"

"Weird? No way," Dean replied, full of confidence.

"Yes, it does!"

"It looks great, trust me. Your dad’s a model, remember? I know what I’m talking about." Dean argued, but Moon just sighed and shook her head like he was the one missing the point.

"But you’re not a girl," she said, and Dean laughed. Giving up, she went to Mizue to have her hair done properly — because let’s face it, her mom was definitely the best suited for the task.
