Extreme Fighting Championship
Life sometimes acts in very curious ways. This usually happens to me whenever I enter a tournament without a backpack full of expectations that if not let go end up weighing me down to the bottom of a lake full of frustrations. But this time was unlike others. From the first day I decided to release the pressure of having to win at all costs. No expectations. No need them. My only objective was to enjoy every game! Step by step. So this is what happened...I signed up for the EFC for the first time without really knowing what to expect, or how far I would go. I chose to adopt a positive and relaxed attitude. Remembering that my main goal was to enjoy each confrontation regardless of the final result. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy I kept repeating to myself, again and over again. As the tournament advanced, I moved forward too, with unpredictable and incredible results but I continued to remained focus and calm. Each match and incredible fighter taught me valuable lessons. An opportunity to learn, grow and connect with the important things. And although sometimes the competition intensified and the pressure increased, I was able to fight with my heart and not from the pressure of merely long and absurd expectations. One step at a time, this made me reached the unforeseen, reach the final. Even today, all I wanted to do was keep on enjoying having reached so far in the competition. Without thinking that at the end of it, I was going to be the one lifting high the golden belt of the lightweight category!
