Home is where the heart is, and the heart is at home
When he bought that old run-down house with the inheritance money, he would have never imagined what it would become. He figured it'd be like his old apartment, although way, way bigger, but in the end still just a place to crash in between benders, a stick in the ground just so he could say he owned something of his own. But then it became so much more than that. It became a reason to come back, a factory of good memories, a place that was no longer just his, but theirs. It went from being his crappy crib, to becoming their home.
That was just another show of the breakneck speed turn that his life had recently taken, and while he himself had embraced the madness fully and never second guessed his choice, it was clear that parts of their word were still catching up to them, wondering if it was all just a passing fancy or whether it would all implode as fast as it had come to be. But those parts would have to get used to it sooner or later, because he knew full well that what he felt wasn't just a fleeting moment of crazed need, or something that could vanish as easily as some would think. It was a new reality that they were forging day after day, together. And he had no intention of letting go, ever.
