one stupidly late night, during one of our endless pillow talks, after another one of your shows and another night of me following you around backstage, the topic finally surfaced. ‘I’m holding myself back from proposing to you.’ and all I said was: ‘why?’
ever since I met you, none of my plans followed any plan… and I kinda love that. so, like always, you asked me out again. and I really thought it’d be just another sweet little date at some restaurant I’d obsess over later. but on that rooftop, with the Eiffel Tower glowing behind us, you started something completely different. there was a song, you got all nervous (which was honestly adorable hahaha), and then your hand went into your pocket… and suddenly you were on one knee.
and of course I’d marry you. I’d marry you in this life, any other life, any world, any universe where we ever get to find each other. I love our sync, our chaos, our softness, all of it. funny thing is, I didn’t even get to fake a dramatic pause. the yes just leapt out of my mouth. I couldn’t hold it back. and yeah, I really said I wanted a whole soccer team with you, substitutes included. and I meant it. or better… I will.
