Merry Christmas to everyone!!

It's Christmas.
I haven't thought about the importance of this day since I was a child. Since we all got up super early, anxiously awaiting the opening of presents. In the past few years, there have been moments when I've loved it... when this particular day meant love... family... and a day just for us... all together.
And there have been moments when I've hated it... when I wished I were anywhere but trapped in what used to be family.
This is a new phase... my kids are all grown up and busy elsewhere, and I... strangely... enjoy this tranquil situation... where people enter on tiptoe so as not to make noise and simply accept my way of being.
And after millennia... this could be the most beautiful gift I've ever received. Surrounded by people who expect nothing... who don't care what you've done with Tom..Dick and Harry... they simply love my company... and honestly, I love it too.
I'm enough for myself...whoever wants to be there is welcome to join me on this wonderful Christmas!!
