Things hadn’t gone perfectly, but they rarely did in life, at least in his experience. Still they had exchanged text messages, and agreed to meet for breakfast.
He got there early, he was pretty excited, he had made a mistake, it wasn’t entirely his fault, but that didn’t really matter, he had well…. Fixed it.
Or so he thought. Five minutes late. Ten minutes late. Thirty minutes late.
She didn’t show.
He finished his coffee, no text messages, no calls, not a peep. She usually shared her location, but there was nothing.
She had ghosted him.
He dropped some cash on the table and walked out.
