Destiny… hm, I like that.
She smiled softly as she referred to her grandson, Teddy, and his girlfriend, Bella, while speaking to Autumn, her grandson’s Cove special friend. Little did she know that she’d be referring to herself like that days later — it was either destiny that brought her and Mo together by an ill-fated window smash, or fate that worked against her from knocking him out cold with her baseball bat. Or maybe it was the years in therapy, or just the loneliness that had crept in over the years. To just be seen. To wanting to help someone who needed someone in his corner. To let her guard down and let love in — to be loved with all of her flaws and faults. She was happy for the first time in a long while, happier than she’d been in all the years she’d practiced, and said she was fine and content.
She was finally happy and she was tired of hiding it.
