I remember Tromsø’s golden sky starting to be taken over by violet when I first saw you, as if it just happened. I guess there was a bunch of other people there coming and going, but you were lit up like the world wanted to make sure I would notice you in all your fabulous glory and beauty. You looked like you were posing, but you were just there. Standing. Your stillness was a magnet that pushed me towards you. When I first saw your eyes, my thoughts went numb. I was hypnotized by the galaxies they held.
You seemed distracted or uninterested but still, out of your infinite kindness, allowed me to start a conversation. All I could think was, “
Try again. This is the one. She’s worth all the wait and effort.” It took a while since you first smiled at me. The smile I would chase forever shattered every wall and melted all my doubts. "

I did try to dance around the truth during that flight back to London we conveniently shared, but I doubt my constant grin ever deceived you. You came to me that time and sat by my side. “

Now the world becomes colorless as our history takes another turn. A turn that happened before, but with swapped roles this time. I know our souls are still tethered, and we will meet again.
