Welcome to The Great Heist

The Great Heist is an online role-playing game and community where the players strive for infamy and fortune in a world of crime and high-stakes heists.

You start the game as a simple thief with empty pockets. Join a crew of smooth criminals or work alone, the choice is yours. Play your cards right and you'll soon be traveling the world leaving a trail of empty bank vaults behind you. The long arm of the law will constantly try to foil your ingenious schemes so try to stick to the shadows or you'll end up in the slammer!

The game is played in real time and the game keeps on going even when you're not logged in. Success in the game is determined by careful strategy and good timing, not by constant online presence. It's perfectly possible to be successful in the game by logging in a couple of times a week to check up on things.

The Great Heist is free of charge and no downloads are necessary to play it. If you can read this you're good to go.

It appears the city of Tromsø has begun to celebrate a strange variation of Christmas. Cultists chant alien hymns about humanity's insignificance in a vast, uncaring cosmos. As the solstice approaches, the stars align, and the town begins to fall into madness.
