"Now and forever"
You looked at me, and your eyes were deep wells where love resided unveiled.
Gazes that melted sweetly, like a piece of dark chocolate exposed to the warm kiss of a sun too beautiful, too inviting. And I, I was your mirror, reflecting the same luminous echo.
Time halted its mad race, as if to weave for us a drape of eternity, a sliver of an instant solely ours. Your hand, a gesture already poetry, tucked my hair behind my ear in an intimate and delicate motion that smelled of home.
The air caressing our serene faces tasted fresh, of that lightness only mountain peaks grant, and we, up there on the Eiffel Tower, were arcs suspended between ether and earth, anchored in a moment of perfect, fragile magic.
It was then that an "I love you too, you know?" blossomed from your lips, a whisper echoed in the Parisian breeze.
A happy life, I didn't believe I deserved such a gift. For years, my soul had woven a web of convictions, persuaded that a future woven from fragments of serene everyday life, a true family, a companion who was a refuge in port and a sail in the storm, was not destined for me.
Instead, as the sky watched us, a silent witness, and the earth allowed us to float in that enchantment, you overturned every one of my certainties.
You knelt before me.
I held my breath, and the world around us contracted into a tiny point, then dissolved, leaving space only for us.
A short distance away, a small witness watched us along with his faithful companion, that plush dinosaur, fallen to the ground in awe.
And then, the ring accompanied by your voice, solemn and full of love: "Moira De Angelis, will you marry me?"
And I, without hesitation, I said yes. "A thousand times yes. Now and forever."
"I'll marry
you."

Sei casa.
