Humble Recap Before News

Since that makeover, when Aitana shed her false modesty, her false humility, her false simplicity, and the other parts of her personality that no longer served her given the surname she carried, everything had changed for her. Even more so, now that she was no longer tied to constant trips to London for work. Aitana was very popular at school now… in a way.

There were no more incidents where she tried to explain to her classmates how to improve their outfits or keep up with the latest London teen fashion, only to upset them due to her lack of social tact and end up being teased. Now, her classmates admired her, flooded her stories and reels with likes—but she never replied. Her chin was lifted with the pride she should never have hidden. And no, she didn’t have friends at school, but she didn’t need them either.

Her older sister, Joline, had her friend group at the skate park in London and another in Rio de Janeiro. Haruko was well-liked at her school, and Giovanna was the reason all of high society in Rio de Janeiro sighed. She walks alone, model for herself, and have fun on her own.

Aitana was certain she had little to envy in Napoleon or Alexander the Great. After all, they didn’t have her gorgeous eyes or her style.
